What we do
Built on your roof, not in a factory
We build the dormer on site. That way it fits your roof exactly, even if the roof isn't perfectly straight. Inside, we finish everything so the attic is a real room straight away.
- Measurements and a check of the roof structure
- Timber frame with insulation and EPDM roofing
- uPVC frames with HR++ glazing, optionally with roller shutters
- Lead flashing, fascia boards and roof trim
- Interior finishing: drywall, plaster and window sills

Questions about dormers
Do I need a permit?
At the back, a dormer is often permit-free if it meets the national rules on size and position. At the front it depends on your municipality's environmental plan. For a listed building you usually need a permit. This article explains it.
How long does it take?
The roof is usually closed again within one or two days. Finishing outside and inside then takes a few more days, depending on the size.
What if it rains?
We only open the roof with a dry forecast and cover it with tarpaulin. In bad weather we move the schedule by a few days.
